So this is life ...

da de da daaaaaa
(m hmm m hmmm)

It is what runs through my head as I take in the scene around me:
The water running in the sink, washing out a jar;
a piece of French toast cooking on the stove, with 3 more on the plate;
2 tuna sandwiches on one counter;
4 sippy cups lined up on the other counter;

I fill 3 and go to put the lemonade away only to realize that I still need that lemonade for the 4th, so I prop the fridge door open with my foot, grab the lemonade, fill that last cup, and then throw it back into the fridge.

I laugh at myself and hum.
"so this is liiiiiiiiiiiiiife"
to the tune of that Cinderella song.

I don't even know why that is the song running through my mind,
I haven't heard it in years upon years.

Bread crust in the shape of a "u"

"so this is liiiiiiiiiiife"

letter trains made out of magnets across my bedroom floor

da de da daaaaaaaa
(mm hm mm hmmmmm)

Little toes and fingers that excitedly point to the letters,
proudly proclaiming,
"E, O, R, T, A!"
none of which is correct

"so thiiiiiiiis is liiiiiiiiiiiife"

And isn't this life grand?

Meet Me - Diana Kristine

My journey with photography has been a long road marked with pot holes and detours. And honestly, I don't see that changing anytime soon!
That journey started when I was younger, with my father. One of his interests and hobbies was photography. He always loved it and though took some detours himself, was able to instill that interest in me at a fairly young age.
I didn't do much with it from that young age until high school. But once I was in high school and had access to photography classes at the local community college I was able to grow the interest my father had planted.
My favorite class was the black and white class I took that included taking photos with manual 35mm SLR cameras and developing them all on our own in the school's dark room. This is where I learned about cameras the first time around and where I fell in love with the dark room. I could spend hours upon hours there, if I had the time and freedom to do so!
After that I took a detour. I took base classes for Elementary Education which did not include photography and then extended that detour to marry my hunky husband and give birth to our precious children!

It was after the birth of our second child that I started to get back into taking pictures. My love for capturing moments returned very quickly but my knowledge did not! I quickly realized that I had lost a lot of what I had learned in school. So, I'm now relearning.
I'm reading - mostly online, tapping those around me who have knowledge - my husband, my father, and close friends who are photographers, and following amazing photographers through their blogs.

I'm slowly working towards what I hope will one day be an amazing personal photography business that purposes to create and capture priceless moments in your life so that you can have an image that you cherish for the rest of your life. An image that you are proud to display and share.

So, who am I? I'm Diana! I'm a 25 year old stay-at-home mom who loves the Lord and her family. I adore my husband, an Active Reservist with the Marine Corps, and our 4 beautiful children - Emma (4), George (3), Wyatt (1), and Clara (newborn). My first priorities will always be following my Lord and being the wife and mother He calls me to be. Never fear, it doesn't detract from my work, it enhances every minute of it!
